Why We Built Labyrinth

After more than 50 years of combined experience conducting, supporting, and leading research at the enterprise level, one challenge stood out above all others: organizations across the national security innovation ecosystem were making high-consequence decisions with fragmented information and limited visibility into the broader R&D landscape. Too often, promising research partnerships never materialized, technologies stalled before commercialization, and mission-critical innovations failed to reach the warfighter.

Our experience also taught us that while government relations and advocacy firms provide essential insight into policy, legislation, and federal priorities, organizations need a deeper layer of intelligence to navigate the national security R&D ecosystem. They need to understand where funding is flowing, which technologies are emerging, who is winning, and where the highest-value opportunities for collaboration and commercialization exist.

That realization became Labyrinth.

Today, our proprietary Research Intelligence Platform—combined with decades of leadership in higher education, research administration, technology commercialization, federal R&D, and industry engagement—helps organizations make smarter strategic decisions, forge stronger partnerships, and accelerate mission-critical innovation from discovery to mission impact.
